Who is PointUI?

PointUI is a company that specializes in making interface replacements for Windows Mobile. An interface replacement, such as that from HTC (TouchFLO 3D) and Spb Software (Mobile Shell), sit on top of the regular Windows Mobile Today screen on touchscreen devices. Often times, you’re able to carry out most device operations right from a visually pleasing main screen - with sliding screens, panels, widgets, or modules.

Remember the Awesome Bell UI for VGA devices? That was from PointUI. Also, remember PointUI Home (that we reviewed here)? That, obviously, was also from PointUI. Also, they’ve done work with Telstra on the Touch Diamond interface.

Now, as wmpoweruser points out, PointUI is working on version 2 of their flagship interface, as seen below running on the XPERIA X1. What we find is that version 2 takes many elements from the Bell UI, such as the sliding widgets, triple buttons on the bottom, and smooth animations. It looks great and we’re looking forward to the final release.
